Bangladesh is currently facing one of its most devastating flood crises in recent years. Severe floods have submerged vast areas across the country, impacting multiple regions, including Feni, Cumilla, Chattogram, Khagrachhari, Noakhali, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, and Sylhet. Over 4.5 million people have been affected, with many communities displaced and trapped by rising waters. Key infrastructure, including roads and bridges, has also been damaged, making rescue efforts challenging. Immediate assistance is needed to support affected families, restore livelihoods, and prevent further loss.
As Bangladesh faces the severe impact of flooding, we are deeply moved by how Bangladeshis are coming together to help each other during this catastrophe. People from all over the country are playing a crucial role in the relief work. It is inspiring to see artists stepping forward to sell their work to contribute to this collective effort. The Samdani Art Foundation wholeheartedly supports this initiative and is lending our Dhaka Art Summit social media platforms to artists who are selling their work to support relief efforts, helping them showcase their artwork and find potential buyers. Interested individuals can contact the artists directly to arrange purchases, if the artwork is bought internationally, we are here to provide support and assistance with the shipment process if needed.
In addition, the Samdani Art Foundation is contributing directly to the cause through financial donations to support those affected by the floods.
